Tips for Photographing Small Animals, with Moose Peterson

With simple biology combined with technology, you too can bring back not only those memorable photographs, but also the stories that reach out and touch the heartstrings of your viewers. All it takes is understanding the basics about critters and photography to be successful. It is true that I use an 800mm lens in my work, I also use a 16mm fisheye. Which lens to use depends on the critter and the story. You may notice though the frame is not filled with the critter yet it visually pops. Light, f/stop, biology and heart are all part of the recipe that will be shared during our time together. Our wild heritage needs your images to tell their story, after this class you'll have them and much more!
