There is one sure-fire way to stop people from stealing your images online and that is to NOT POST ANY PHOTOS ONLINE.
Let's get that out there right off the bat, there is pretty much nothing you can do to stop people from taking your images off your website. I personally do not worry about this at all and in fact I have come around to embracing my images being shared and viewed online as long as people do not try and sell them as their own.
The other day when I posted a video about how to deactivate right clicking on your Squarespace and people jumped down my throat. The reason I was making people aware of that option is if they wanted to do one thing to not let people right click on the images. There are a million other things people can do to take your images like print screen or by simply finding where the files get stored on your computer.
If you still are interested in deactivating right clicking you can see the code below and enter the html into the header on the backend of your Squarespace.
For people who have or are thinking about using Squarespace I wanted to share with you the proper sizing to export your images. They recommend that you upload JPEG's that are 1500px on the longest size. Once your images are uploaded Squarespace will resize them into six different sizes.
The reason they do this is so your images will load as quick as possible depending on what device someone is using to browse your site. If they are looking at them on an iphone, ipad or on the computer, the site will select the proper sized image.
Is this a plug for Squarespace, yes it is. I personally use them so I am not afraid to recommend them to you. If you would like to get a 14 day FREE TRIAL to see if it is right for you please click here. After your trial if you would like to sign up for their service please use code "FROTUBE" and get 10% your first order. That means you can get 10% off and entire year by using code "FROTUBE"
