RAW vs JPEG iPhone Shootout | Concert Photo Challenge

A few months back I photographed a Gavin Degraw concert using the iphone 8 plus. My goal was to screen capture my device, take photos at the show and share the results with you.

I used both the native apple camera app and adobe lightroom cc formally known as lightroom mobile. One lets you shoot only JPEG where the other allows you to capture RAW DNG.

I think we have a clear winner at least in this situation. Let me put this here though, if you're simply taking group shots in really great light, there's nothing wrong with the native app. As soon as the light isn't as good, I would recommend using any app that lets you shoot RAW.
