RANT: I'm Tired Of Hearing You "CAN"T" Blow Out The Background With Your Basic DSLR And Kit Lens

It's true, people think you can't get quality results including bokeh from basic dslr's and kit lenses.

In my "Real World Review" of the Canon 80D I used the kit 18-135mm lens for the entire shoot. Sure that's not as inexpensive as the 18-55 kit lens but none the less it's still a kit lens.

I was able to get fantastic results all over the place with that lens including being able to blow out the background even at wider angles.

It comes down to do you know what you're doing. If you don't have a clue, no camera in the world is going to help you get great results. Remember this, it's not the camera it's you!!!
