How to use a Compressor/Limiter (AUDIO 101: Part 8)

In this Audio 101 stream (lesson 1 of 2), I'll walk you thru every parameter of a standard audio Compressor (using Audition's native Tube Modeled Compressor) and describe in detail the function of each setting as it pertains to controlling dynamics, adding punch/thickening and homogenzing the sound of your audio with compression.

This is a comprehensive deep-dive into understanding how to properly set an audio compressor, and as such, the techniques described in this lesson can be applied to *any* compressor/limiter, whether hardware based or one you'd find in any other DAW.

This is lesson one of a two-part compression series. Stay tuned for lesson two which will focus on using a limiter/hard limiter in various musical and dialogue situations.
