How to Create Look-Up Tables (LUTs) in Photoshop
In this episode, you'll learn how to create your own filter and save them for other images. After that, it's just one click. At the end of the video there is a bonus tip for you. We'll make Instagram like filters, if not better in just a few simple steps using the Adjustment Layers to create the desired effect and save them in a Group in the form of a Color Lookup Table. Then, we'll use the Color Lookup Adjustment Layer, to load the filter into any other image with just one click.

In this tutorial we will use 4 Adjustment Layers to create the desired effect: Color Balance, Vibrance, Curves and Levels. Of course there are more, and I insist you to experiment with them too. Because many a times, accidents do teach us something brilliant.
Creating a filter using Adjustment Layers in easy and a breeze. But, what difficult is to find the perfect point for the curve or the perfect value of a slider. You might tweak the settings and be happy with your results but then, you might return after a couple of hours just to figure out it doesn't look enough. So, it requires you to have a lot of trial and errors before you finalize the right adjustment layers and the right values.
In this process, we'll first start by creating multiple adjustment layers to fit to our imagination. Then we'll save all those adjustment layers in the form of Color Lookup table. Then, if we want to use that filter in another image, we would simply load up the Color Lookup Adjustment Layer and though it load the Color Lookup Table we had just saved.
