Creative Meltdown
As with all creative disciplines, some days you're hot, and some days you're not.
In advance of filming a series of performances for my children's music show, Just Play Music™, I set out to record a number that I'd been tinkering with days before.
I assumed I'd just 'knock it out' and move on. I didn't. And needless to say, *nothing* from this particular session was a keeper. It just kept getting worse.
But that's the way it goes, sometimes.
Fortunately, the next day's session yielded six master takes, all first takes, just like that.
Live, raw, unscripted and edited only for content: a little creative meltdown.
