I understand that sometimes spending money on a website can seem like not the best use of money but the alternative can be worse. Yes there are plenty of FREE website builders out there but for the most part they will create a subpar presence for you online.
What you have to realize is that most FREE website builders give you the bare minimum of options before you have to pay for upgrades. This is called a freemium model where free is limited.
This websites design takes away from the photographers work. It's not that hard to navigate but the images simply don't pop with the current design. You could have some of the best photos ever but with a poorly functioning website you may be missing out on jobs.
Like I have said many times before, I don't care what software you use to build your site as long as it looks professional and is functional. Keep in mind many of these pay sites are not that expensive any longer to operate. Squarespace is $8 a month and if you are trying to make it as a photographer this would be a good use of $8.
