Should you ever have to crop a landscape photo? There are two ways to answer this questions. The first way is to say you should almost never have to crop your landscape for proper full frame composition after the fact.
I say this because you are looking at the scene right in front of you. You generally have time to make sure you get the composition the way you would like it.
The second is to say YES you should crop after the fact if you have a vision for how your photo should look. For example, if you think you should cut down on the amount of sky and make a longer but narrower print then go for it. I hope that makes sense, when you have a vision for an image I am totally okay with cropping.
It's when you go into a situation and just shoot and say I will crop it later when I figure out what I want that I take offense to it. Of course in the end do whatever you want because it's your photo.
I love this photographers interior images. They have done a great job with light and angles where so many realtors fail.
